Water-Repellent Wingback Chair Cover

The wingback chair, the one you never replace

A wingback chair is the reading chair, often the oldest one in the house and the one you keep. Its high back and side wings defeat any ordinary cover, which leaves them bare or pulls them askew. This one is cut for them: the wings, high back, arms and seat are covered in one piece.

The jacquard has a water-repellent finish: tea spilt while reading beads on the surface, so you have time to wipe it with a cloth. Its textured weave is thicker and firmer than a jersey, and stretches both ways to follow the shape.

It goes on without tools and without removing the seat cushion: slip it over the back, adjust the wings, and tuck the edge between the seat and the back. In 2 minutes at most.

Check before you order

One size, for standard wingback chairs. Measure three things: the width at the top, wings included, from 69 to 80 cm; the overall height, from 95 to 110 cm; the depth, front to back, from 80 to 92 cm. The fabric stretches within these ranges. A chair with a low back and rounded arms, or a club chair, needs the tub chair cover; a classic armchair with a straight back needs the classic armchair cover.
